We’re supporting a successful and long-established main contractor in their search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. With a strong track record of delivering high-quality construction projects across the South, this company is known for its dynamic approach, stability, and focus on employee development.

This position will involve working on projects across a mix of sectors. You’ll play a key commercial role in the successful delivery of the projects, reporting to the Commercial Manager and working closely with site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the commercial management of the projects from start to final account
Procure subcontract packages and manage the full tender lifecycle
Oversee valuations, variations, and cost reporting
Prepare monthly financial updates and attend commercial meetings
Build strong relationships with consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Support junior surveyors on the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing
Monitor risk, ensure contractual compliance, and safeguard margins

Candidate Requirements:

Strong understanding of JCT and traditional forms of contract
Proficient in cost planning, commercial reporting, and subcontractor negotiation
Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Degree qualified or working toward MRICS/MCIOB
